The History of Vermeer All Roads

Our journey began in 1969 when John L. Vos founded Vermeer Mid Atlantic in a small shop in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. John started his career with Vermeer Corporation in 1964, working in the welding room. His passion for Vermeer equipment led him to demonstrate machines across North America, and by the age of 23, he was entrusted to establish his own dealership. Under John’s leadership, Vermeer Mid Atlantic grew from a single location to eight, serving Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and the Carolinas.

In 2016, John Vos retired, and Mark Boyle, who began his career at Vermeer Mid Atlantic as a salesman in 1991, stepped into the role of president. Under Mark’s leadership, the company continued to grow, expanding into Pennsylvania and Ohio. That same year, Vermeer Mid Atlantic joined All Roads, enhancing its ability to offer a broader network of commercial equipment, service, and support.

In 2019, Vermeer Mid Atlantic celebrated its 50th anniversary, a milestone made possible by the dedication of over 200 employees who uphold the values John instilled from the start. Our team’s commitment to delivering exceptional service has earned Vermeer All Roads recognition as one of the top-performing Vermeer dealers for over five decades. The loyalty and expertise of our employees, with an average tenure of over 10 years, ensure our customers receive the respect and support they deserve.

Also in 2019, Vermeer Mid Atlantic joined forces with Vermeer Northeast, a dealership serving New England and New York since 1960. Together, they formed Vermeer All Roads, combining the strengths of two Pinnacle Award-winning dealer partners. This prestigious award from Vermeer Corporation honors dealers who excel in customer service, sales, marketing, after-market support, and employee training.
